Leading cable management specialist HellermannTyton, has announced the arrival of its new MBT kits, designed to provide an easy to use, stainless steel fastening and fixing solution for busy electricians and contractors on the move.

Since the launch of its range of stainless steel MBT ties with a patented head and tail design, the product has become one of the company’s most successful products and a popular solution with electrical installers, contractors and specialist users alike.

The new MBT kit is comprised of a smart and durable carry case containing a range of MBT products, including a selection of stainless steel MBT ties in five different sizes, a T-Handle tensioning tool to assist with easy, time-saving installation and a full instruction manual.

Richard Rands, product manager for fastenings and fixings at HellermannTyton, said: “These new MBT kits with their reusable case, which can be refilled with our wide range of stainless steel cable ties, enable electricians and contractors to have the right tools available for the job as and when they’re required.

“Everything they need is contained within one accessible carry case and with the importance of minimising time on site and installation costs becoming so important, the MBT kit can go a long way to helping achieve this.

“Our customers are using MBT stainless steel ties in a wide range of sectors and applications including, the oil and gas industry, mass transit, fire prevention and those electrical situations where metal fastenings and fixings are needed. We’re confident this complete MBT kit will prove to be an extremely useful and popular product with customers.

”

MBT stainless steel ties have been part of the HellermannTyton product portfolio for many years and the new version has been developed in response to customer feedback to improve performance within wide and varied applications. These range from securing cables in hazardous environments such as shipbuilding, oil & gas, petrochemical, rail, power generation and aerospace. The stainless steel ties are particularly suitable for use with cable trays where a 4.6mm strap fits the 5mm slots and the coated range provides protection against dissimilar metal contact, making them appropriate for the oil and gas sector.

Other key benefits include improved bundle performance and innovative locking of the tie, which is achieved by a wedge shaped closed head secured by a ball bearing. Both the head and the strap are patented features.
