National building services provider EIC has won inclusion on a four-year mechanical, electrical and building fabric framework agreement with Scottish Borders Council.

The Midlands-based contractor will be providing properties in five of the Council’s principal towns with a reactive maintenance service for their mechanical, electrical and building fabric building repairs. This agreement means that should there be a requirement at any council owned or managed buildings in Duns, Kelso, Hawick, Galashiels and Peebles, it may be referred to EIC for quick and efficient repair.

Paul Fitzpatrick, Scottish divisional director for EIC said: “We are delighted to be working with Scottish Borders Council, particularly as now is a time when the public sector is tightening its budgets and looking to outsource their buildings services needs to suppliers with the relevant experience and expertise and that represent real value for money.

“With 40 years’ experience in the sector, we are well placed to help our public sector customers make the most of their investment. We also work closely with all our customers to create innovative and flexible programmes which meet their individual needs.”

EIC has extensive experience in the public sector, having recently worked with Edinburgh Council, North Somerset and Warwickshire.

Dave Romains, property manager at Scottish Borders Council, said: “Having rigorously vetted EIC in the tender process we know they have the knowledge and expertise to anticipate and understand our requirements.

“We believe that EIC provides a good service, we are looking forward to working with them.”

In addition to its national headquarters in Warwickshire, EIC has a network of 13 regional offices across the UK – from Cornwall to Scotland – enabling the firm to meet the needs of both local and national customers, wherever they are located.
