November 2011 sees the launch of LuxLive, a new lighting event for the UK.

Launched by the Lighting Industry Federation and Lux magazine, and backed by leading lighting organisations, LuxLive takes place from 9-10 November at Earls Court, London, and is designed to offer lighting solutions for offices, retail, industry, warehousing, education, hospitality and the public sector.

The event will see over 100 exhibitors come together under one roof to offer an insight into the huge technological shift that is currently taking place in the lighting industry. Attracting visitors from architects, building services engineers, planners, facilities managers, specifiers, lighting designers, estate managers, energy reduction specialists, contractors and those responsible for energy efficiency and sustainability for their clients or within their own organisations, it is a chance for visitors to find out how to use lighting creatively whilst dramatically cutting carbon footprints and slashing energy bills.

The event will showcase the latest in LEDs, smart controls, light sources and light fittings, offering both interior and external solutions from exhibitors ranging from Philips, Osram, GE, Thorn, Wila and Toshiba LED.

In addition to the hundreds of products and services on offer, LuxLive will also play host to the first ever EcoLight Conference. An event specifically targeted at buyers from outside the industry, it will focus on low-carbon lighting, helping those with large lighting estates transform premises and dramatically reduce energy bills. With leading specialists keynoting each session, the conference will offer in depth information on low energy lighting solutions and the Carbon Reduction Commitment. Each session will include examples of best practice and panel discussions.

There will also be a host of interactive features, free-to-attend seminars and round table discussions.
