Training facilities at the NICEIC’s head office in Luton have received a boost with the installation of training boards produced and supplied by Click Scolmore.

Giving trainee electricians the opportunity to work with the latest in wiring accessories and lighting products, the Click Scolmore training boards have been installed in one of the main classrooms at the Dunstable site. Twelve boards have been fitted onto racking across three walls – providing a boost in the amount of hands-on and practical experience available for each individual taking up one of the courses on offer.

Darren Staniforth, technical development manager for NICEIC said: “We are indebted to Scolmore for the help they have given us in supplying these training boards. It allows us to offer training that is realistic as possible using the very latest products available and those that our trainees will be seeing out in the marketplace. With some 800 to 1,000 individuals likely to utilise these new facilities during a typical year, it is imperative that the equipment is robust and requires as little maintenance as possible and Click Scolmore has certainly delivered on these criteria.”

In addition to the 12 fixed training boards, Click Scolmore has also supplied a version that can be taken out to a number of other training centres where it will be used to provide practical demonstrations.

Click Scolmore’s Marie Parry said: “We are delighted to have been able to assist in some way with the NICEIC’s training provision. We value highly the role that NICEIC training offers to the industry and we are confident that the products we have supplied will meet their requirements.”
