Hazardous area conduit gland

Electrical Review Logo

New Kopex-Ex conduit glands for use within Group I (Mining) hazardous area applications have now been introduced.  The new conduit glands are also designed to comply with international standards including ATEX, IECEx and CSA.  This compliance allows the product to be used globally in many different industries.

The Group I conduit gland offers an increased temperature range from – 60°C to + 130° C. This rating means it can also be used for a wider range of applications which may occur in both underground mining and other hazardous areas including gas turbines and the power generation industry.

The new gland is available as standard in brass, nickel plated brass and stainless steel.  Thread types M20 to M63 and NPT ½” to NPT 2” are all designed to be used with Kopex-Ex’s range of liquid tight conduits available with sizes from 16mm to 63mm.
