Portable lightweight range of insulating oil test systems

Electrical Review Logo

The new BA range of oil testing systems is now available from b2 High – Voltage which is a division of b2 electronic GmbH of Austria. This new range of oil test systems offers an ultra-fast clearance time of less than 5µs.

There are 4 models in the range starting with the BA60 and extending to the BA100.

The test voltages available are as follows: 60kV , 75kV, 80kV and 100kV

All models are both mains and battery powered with the mains operation allowing for a supply voltage of 85 to 264V single phase at 50/60Hz. A 12V internal battery supply is also provided thus making the units ideal for on-site testing of insulating liquids.

The system is controlled from a large full colour OLED display and can be programmed to suit any customer specific routine. In addition there are some 16 national and international testing routines pre-programmed into the test set. A unique feature of the BA series is that the point of breakdown on the waveform will also be displayed on the operating interface screen.

There is an on board results printer together with a USB interface for downloading results. The unit is also equipped with a Bluetooth interface. This allows up to 4 oil test systems to be controlled from the BA Control Software. This make the system ideally suited for testing laboratory use when multiple test systems are in use.

The unit is able to operate over a temperature from -5°C to +45°C with a storage temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.

Each test system is supplied with one of 4 different types of oil test vessel, together with the appropriate electrodes, BA software, magnetic stirrers, setting gauges and a full operating manual.
