Metartec Ltd, the Critical Power Supply specialist, has continued to grow from strength to strength, even through the current economic crisis. The continuous success and development of Metartec, since launching in 2007, has permitted expansion of their geographical location, premises and personnel.

In addition to the premises in Middlesex and Belfast, Metartec have recently opened their first office in Bangkok, Thailand. This new office will service the Critical Power Supply market place in South East Asia. The opening of these premises in November 2010 was a landmark date for Metartec, as it represents the establishment of Metartec’s international presence. Currently the office in Thailand has an operating staff of five, with the intention of increasing this number to support the continued expansion of Metartec’s operational field.

Harold Ruff, who joined the company in January 2011, has extensive knowledge of the Critical Power Supply market and will be heading up Metartec’s Business Development department in Thailand. Harold will support the communication of Metartec’s ethos, products and services throughout South East Asia and will generate new opportunities for Metartec within this new and exciting market.

As a result of Metartec’s remarkable growth within the Critical Power Supply market in the UK, the company has appointed various new positions within the past few months.

A significant addition to Metartec’s Business Development team is Neil Duerden. Neil has vast experience working with UPS systems and specialises in Electrical Energy Efficiency Products and Renewable Electrical Energy. Neil manages Metartec’s new line of business Metartec e3, with e3 depicting Electrical Energy Efficiency.

Metartec have also expanded their Marketing Department by employing two Marketing Assistants in November 2010, who will support the growth of the business. Nicole Magee, who recently graduated with a first class honours degree in Marketing, from the University of Ulster stated, “I am elated to be an associate within such a successful and fast growing organisation. The possibilities are endless and I am thrilled that Metartec are helping to power my future”.

Robert Hegarty received a BA with Honours in Marketing from Leeds Met University and a Masters in Business Studies, from the University of Ulster. Both Nicole and Robert are based in the Belfast office, which is the main hub for all of Metartec’s marketing activities.

Diarmuid Kelleher joined Metartec’s Electrical Service team on the 21st December 2010 as Projects Engineer. Diarmuid comes from an electrical/data centre background and his main responsibility will be to arrange and coordinate all new major critical power projects.

Nigel Davis joined Metartec at the beginning of January 2011 as a UPS field engineer. Nigel is a qualified electrician and has had 12 years experience working with other major UPS companies.

Metartec believe that these new additions will help to drive the business forward by bringing a fresh approach to the organisation’s activities, and already new ideas are being generated and put in place. Metartec’s success will no doubt continue and there are already plans for further expansion in the near future.
