RS Components today announced the introduction of a major support programme for design engineers developing Test and Instrumentation applications.  More than 500 new products have been added to its extensive portfolio, together with a dedicated microsite in the RS website, providing full range details and supporting resources for engineers designing new applications.

The new Test and Instrumentation programme offers design engineers a comprehensive range of market-leading electromechanical products suitable for the most demanding test requirements.  Components from leading manufacturers, including Tyco Electronics, Phihong, IMS Connector Systems, Crydom and Telegartner are featured in the new offer.  Highlights of the range include a large number of products suitable for RF signals, including a wide variety of RF connectors and adaptors for all industry standard families.  Supporting these are new switches and attenuators, along with power supplies, surge suppressors and relays.

“As a growing sector within the Electronics industry, the Test and Instrumentation market is demanding increasingly smaller technically advanced components,” commented Valerie Ramon, Category Business Manager – Electromechanical and Connectors for RS.  “The recently expanded product range brings cutting edge, high technology electromechanical products together in one location, making it simpler and quicker to select the right devices and speed time to market.”

The range is being brought together through a dedicated Test and Instrumentation microsite on the rswww.com website.  The new pages pull together all the design resources from manufacturers including Tyco Electronics, IMS, and Telegartner as well as RS’s brand, enabling users to browse by technology and find technical support notes from manufacturers on key products in the range.  Users will also find links to other relevant technologies giving them a complete offer from one source.
