Spec is a complete and specialist substation support contractor to the power-generation, industrial and renewable industry, serving parties from OEMs to main contractors through to end users. Services offered are supported by bespoke maintenance packages, tailored to either a control-and-maintain or a maintenance-only service.

Services offered UK wide, internationally and offshore include:
• Off loading, lift and shifting, erecting, cabling, testing, commissioning, switching and permitting of transformer and switchgear substations up to and including 33000 volts.
• Specialist jointing teams up to and including 33000 volts to enable various makes, types, styles and voltages of joints and terminations to be complete on either a one off basis or entire site wide projects. Typical joints and terminations covered are Raychem, Pfisterer, Euromold, Nexans, SPS, Pirelli, 3m etc.
• Dedicated sub station maintenance section undertaking national or local contracts on a operate and maintain or maintain only, covering power and distribution transformers, HV & LV switchgear, DC and protection systems. All supported by 24/7/365 substation fault response and cable fault location teams.
• Spec is capable of engineering any service to suit any situation whether it be a steel works in England, a brewery in Africa or an off shore platform in the Middle East.
