Skill M&E, run in association with SummitSkills, is running at M&E – The Building Services Event to discover the next generation of plumbers, electricians, pipe fitters and refrigeration & air conditioning engineers.

Taking place on the Gallery above The Training Academy, this new initiative consists of four skills competitions: SkillELECTRIC, SkillFRIDGE, SkillPLUMB and SkillPIPE. Each has been designed to uncover the very best young mechanical and electrical engineers from the building services.

M&E – The Building Services Event, the UK's only event dedicated to all building services, is taking place from 6-7 October at London Olympia and is produced in association with Cibse and supported by ECA and HVCA.

Adrian Newton, portfolio director for safety and building management at UBM Live, organisers of M&E – The Building Services Event 2010, said: "We take pride in being the only event of its kind in the UK and by introducing this exciting competition, we are demonstrating our commitment to helping this industry develop further. The M&E engineers of tomorrow are just as important as today's so we are extremely excited to offer a competition that will discover the best of the best. Make sure you take time to show your support!"

The Innovation & Sustainability Awards (ISA) 2010, in association with M&E, will reward the most innovative and sustainable products and services that support the effective and efficient management of a building.

M&E – The Building Services Event is co-located with Energy Solutions, an energy management event, and Total Workplace Management, a FM and estates event.
