Switches specified for Olympic Stadium

Electrical Review Logo

More than 1,000 switches and sockets from Click Scolmore's Part M range are in the process of being installed in the main Olympic Stadium.

Specified by Building Services Contractor, T Clarke, the products were selected to meet the requirements of Part M Building Regulations – designed to help those with a disability to access and use buildings and the facilities within them. The Mode Part M switches and sockets are being used within both the public areas and athletes areas throughout the stadium, with anthracite grey products installed on white walls and white on the coloured walls.  The majority of the 800 sockets being used will power computer and audio/visual equipment for the vast number of meetings and media rooms.

As the centrepiece of the London 2012 summer Olympics, the 80,000-seat stadium will host the opening and closing ceremonies and all the athletics events.
