Ethernet backbone for money counters

Electrical Review Logo

Alpha Micro, an the independent franchised distributor of electronic components, has  supplied the Lantronix XPort for Tellermate's new T-iX weight-based cash counting system.  The Tellermate Group selected the XPort from Alpha Micro for the T-iX system's serial to Ethernet backbone to ensure that it provides a speedy, secure and reliable network for its customers.

Driven by demand for faster and more accurate cash management information, the T-iX range is the next stage of connected and networked money counters and builds on the success of the popular TY+ range.  The TY+ is used by organisations including Barclays, Boots, HSBC, Disney, Alton Towers, and McDonalds. The T-iX offers a larger feature set, including more advanced connectivity to customers' cash office systems, enhanced user interface including the market's largest screen and design features to resist impacts and liquid ingress.
