Replace old key systems with PC-based access control

Electrical Review Logo

The new Fortessa PC based access control system from AVS is said to offer increased security  levels and flexibility to the access of the personnel.

Organisations of all sizes are discovering the benefits of replacing their old key- based systems with electronic control systems.

Card access control systems like this increase security levels, with timings and door access centrally controlled via a USB or a network interface.

Instructions given at the PC are sent to each of the doors where the computer will keep a record of who entered each door. A fob can be barred from all of the doors instantly. Flexible control allows the administrator to set up different access permissions for individuals or groups of users.

Besides the lower operating costs, a PC-based system provides easy administration and is a cost effective alternative for when keys are lost as there is no need to replace the locks to maintain security.

The Fortessa control system can configure up to 2000 fobs, cards or sticky dots and can control up to 16 doors.

It also comes complete with a lifetime warranty.
