Eaton Corporation's Centenary Fund has donated £21,172 to industry charity EEIBA (The Electrical and Electronics Industries Benevolent Association). The donation resulted from the Corporation's decision to set up a match-funding scheme to celebrate a hundred years of the MEM brand.

This scheme, which commenced on 1 September 2008, was introduced to motivate and support Eaton's customers and associates to raise money for EEIBA with Eaton matching those funds raised.

Timothy Lambert, EEIBA chief executive said, "With our long established and close links with our colleagues at Eaton, which goes back to the earliest days of the MEM Company, this welcome donation from all of these activities will go a long way in support of our welfare care programmes and is very much needed and appreciated at this difficult economic time."
