RS Components expands international distributor network presence in the Baltics

RS Components, the international distributor of electronic, electro-mechanical and industrial products, has launched local language versions of its online product catalogue in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania expanding the footprint of its international distributor network on the web. The new localized websites are one-stop-shops for electronics designers and maintenance engineers in the Baltics with same day despatch of over 200,000 products from a wide variety of suppliers.

"Since the launch of the new website we have received very positive feedback from our local language customer base as well as seen a 25 percent increase in sales," said Aivars Latkovskis, Branch Manager of A-Kaabel / YE International SIA, Latvia. "Features such as current local currency pricing and stock availability make a true difference to our customers. We have seen a strong increase in website traffic underlining our customers make full use of the new catalogue frontend."

RS Components partners with local distributors YE International AS in Estonia, A-Kaabel / YE International SIA in Latvia and YE International UAB in Lithuania. The new Baltic local language websites have been built on the latest Web 2.0 architecture to make them easy to navigate and provide a quick overview of product attributes and availability. All orders are placed in local currency. Product availability can be checked in real-time without the need to leave a particular listing page. A powerful search engine enables customers to save time and reduce their purchase costs when researching, selecting and ordering products.
