UK technology firms can learn about overseas business opportunities at free information events hosted by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) from 22 September to 9 October.
The UK Technology Roadshow is sweeping the country this month to help SMEs break into new markets and take advantage of G20 stimulus plans.
Attending companies will also gain sales training and advice, drawn from the UK Technology Marketing toolkit. The website, developed with industry, is the first of its kind for the sector with tools to help UK firms prosper in the global market-place.
UKTI Chief Executive Sir Andrew Cahn said: "Not only is the technology sector central to the UK's economy, it also plays a key role internationally as Europe's largest ICT sector developing innovative solutions to deliver global benefits. UK companies should to build on this success and capitalise on the benefits exporting can bring, particularly in these difficult times.
"UKTI's UK Technology Roadshow will provide British firms with valuable intel to take advantage of these overseas opportunities."
All companies attending UKTI's UK Technology Roadshow can receive a discounted pass to TechnologyWorld09 in November, one of the UK's largest technology networking events bringing together the best of UK innovation with potential overseas partners. Last year the two-day tradeshow in Coventry generated an estimated £30m in deals (www.technologyworld09.com).
