Decorative wiring accessories added to range

Electrical Review Logo

Newey & Eyre has added a new range of decorative wiring accessories to its popular own  brand, to meet the changing needs of the modern market.

Created with contemporary interior design in mind, the range includes four high quality finishes; polished chrome, brushed stainless steel, black nickel and polished brass.  These stylish variations have been chosen to help designers and installers to achieve a sleek, modern look.

Emerging as a new trend, the black nickel range features a smoked mirror style finish and its high gloss surface presents a clean and discreet solution. Brushed stainless steel is another popular choice, as the surface blends with its modern surroundings with ease. Alternatively, for those looking for a more classic appearance, the brass accessories offer a more traditional finish.  Finally, the polished chrome accessories are becoming a firm choice for those wanting a bright, simple look.

Each range includes 10AX rated light switches that are fully tested for fluorescent loads, which is especially useful when employing low-energy lighting, while there is the option of dimmers suitable for controlling mains or low voltage lighting. The range also includes one and two gang double pole switched sockets for added safety and power control switches rated from 20A through to 45A.

Offering the utmost in versatility, the range includes a modular data and communications grid system, with TV, FM satellite telephone and data outlets, providing a mix and match approach to meet every type of home entertainment and communications requirement.  Fused connection units, cooker units, a shaver outlet, fan isolator switches and pull cord switch completes each range, allowing for co-ordination throughout the installation. Easy to install, even in retrofit, the majority of devices fit standard depth Newlec back boxes.

Kevin Norman, category manager at Newey & Eyre comments: "The UK wiring accessories market has changed enormously in the last couple of years.  A number of influencing factors are responsible, including the Building Regulations Part M, the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and the plethora of TV makeover shows inducing a greater interest in home-design. This has made the wiring accessories an important consideration for both designers and installers, who need to balance an increased need for safety without compromising on style.

"We have launched this new range of decorative wiring accessories to complement the existing selection and cater for the ever expanding need of this demanding market. This concise yet comprehensive offering is designed to blend discretely with the needs of the modern interior design and provide the user with convenient control of lighting, power, home entertainment and communication systems."
