Yokogawa UK has signed a partnership agreement with Tenet Consultants covering collaboration in automation, instrumentation and safety systems for the nuclear industry. Under the terms of the agreement, Tenet will assist Yokogawa UK in the preparation and development of quotes for nuclear energy projects, and will also use their expertise in the nuclear sector to aid delivery and implementation at the installation and commissioning stages.

Commenting on the agreement, Martin Ward, managing director of Yokogawa UK, said: "There is an increasing likelihood nuclear energy will play a significant part in the UK's future power generation mix, and Yokogawa – with its extensive portfolio of high-quality process automation solutions – is well placed to benefit from the extensive investment that will be involved. Teaming up with a consultancy with a proven track record in the nuclear sector is a key element in our strategy for growth in this sector."

Mike Thirsk, managing director of Tenet Consultants, is equally enthusiastic about the agreement: "We at Tenet are very pleased to be entering into this partnership with Yokogawa. As a young expanding company, the opportunity to form a strategic alliance with a company such as Yokogawa allows us to look at long-term growth, especially in the nuclear sector, through the synergies of our respective companies.

"This agreement is a result of the hard work carried out by the skilled and dedicated team here at Tenet and is in line with our vision for company growth following the move to larger office accommodation in January 2009', he adds: 'We look forward to working together with Yokogawa in the coming months."

Tenet is a specialist consultancy company providing design and technical services to all sectors of industry and facilities management. The company was formed in 2005, and has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification for developing client concepts into detail designs.
