Dragon's Den viewers who were impressed with the MagnaMole magnetic cable guide will be pleased to learn it is now available from lo-cost trade supplier Toolstation.
The innovation from Talpa Products, attracted investment from Duncan Bannatyne and James Caan for solving the age-old engineering problem of threading wires and cables through cavity walls and void spaces.
After drilling a hole in the wall, insert the magnetic rod, screw the appropriate cap to the end of the cable or wire, align the magnets and simply push the cable into the hole and through the other side of the wall.
"No other tool has been designed with this specific task in mind", said Toolstation's product marketing manager Christian Egerton. "It is easy and effective, saving time and frustration and reduces the risk of electrical accidents. It can also thread at an angle and safely through other wiring and cable obstacles."
