Recolight launches new website

Recolight, a specialist WEEE compliance scheme for gas discharge lamps (GDLs), has launched its revamped website at www.recolight.co.uk

The website has been redesigned to make navigation easer by introducing a new search tool which enables users to find content more efficiently, and includes a direct link for visitors to find out how they can recycle their lamps for free.

As well as providing a one-stop shop for guidance on WEEE regulation compliance, the site also provides useful links to other relevant organisations, a daily news ticker featuring industry news, and the Recolight collection point mapping tool. Users can type their postcode into the mapping tool to find their nearest Reconet collection point where they can recycle their lamps free of charge.

The redesign of the Recolight website is part of an ongoing project to improve its usability for business and consumer users and to ultimately help increase lamp recycling rates.

Launching the website, Recolight's marketing executive Corinnia Burke, said: "The website has been re-designed to be more user friendly and accessible than before, and is the first part of our programme to develop Recolight's online presence. We wanted to improve the navigability of the site, and also to emphasise how simple it is to join Reconet and recycle old lamps easily and cost effectively.

"Recolight continues to work towards raising awareness of the WEEE Regulations and helping people to understand and meet their obligations under them. We hope our website can act as a catalyst to increase the number of businesses who will sign up to Reconet and use our free recycling service."
