The IET International System Safety Conference 2009 and the SaRS Annual Conference – whose theme for this year is ‘it's not just wires' – will focus on the development and assurance of safety systems.

Sessions will provide a clear insight into the specific issues in the sector and sector themes such as standards, competence and safety integrity levels. Keynote speakers at this year's conference include Professor James Reason, author of ‘The Human Contribution'.
