Time savings and increased productivity

The 2009 version of Specification Expert from nes combines higher functionality with significant enhancements to the content, as well as improvements to the user interface that save time and increase productivity.

Specification Expert is a specification compiling programme for use in generating building services specifications and for producing operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals.

In the latest generation, sharing information with others is even easier, with refinements in the ‘publish to PDF’ facility, publishing of equipment schedules and handling of images. Window docking and hour glass indication have also received an upgrade.

Helping to keep users up to speed, there are also new guidance notes on sustainability and renewable issues, such as ‘Drivers for change’, Overall performance targets’ and ‘Environmental issues’. References to new and updated British Standards include BS 9999:2008 Code of practice for fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings.

In addition, pre-edit questions have been reviewed for the self-contained sections, and clauses on fire and smoke dampers revised to suit the latest test requirements.
