Recycling firm, The Nick Brookes Group, has purchased one of JCB's largest generators – a JCB G550Q model – to provide the prime power source for its new state-of-the-art aggregates washing plant.
The Cheshire-based company processes demolition and construction waste from around the North of England at its Wardle, nr Nantwich headquarters. Once processed through its own waste transfer station, materials are loaded on to the new washing equipment, which is powered by the new 550kVA generator model with zinc coated, sound-attenuated canopy. In addition to the high specification standard features incorporated across the JCB range, the new G550Q model installed for Nick Brookes features a centre point lift, bunded fuel tank and an MX341 AVR Newage Stamford alternator fitted with a permanent magnet generator for increased power acceptance when motor starting.
The JCB G550Q generator follows three smaller JCB generators and several Loadall telescopic handlers and excavators into the Nick Brookes product line-up. All in action at the Wardle site, two G22Q and a G20R generator are providing standby power whilst the Loadalls and excavators perform a variety of materials handling tasks. A new JS200W Wastemaster wheeled excavator with waste selector grab has also just joined the fleet, to sort waste and load bays in the waste transfer station.
