ATE aiming to ‘raise’ the bar

A new busbar design from Dudley based A & T Enclosures is hoping to raise standards in enclosure quality and reliability by passing stringent international standards.

The enclosure and fabrication specialist has successfully tested its latest system in accordance with IEC guidelines.  Put through its paces at the IPH Laboratories in Berlin, the double horizontal busbar arrangement achieved a pass at 80kA/1 second whilst the vertical droppers and interconnections were certified to 65kA/1 second.

The decision to obtain additional testing followed a recent survey in which ATE asked customers how it could further develop its product range without compromising on price and quality control. Specifications have become ever more demanding, particularly in the water and power distribution industries and many clients wanted to see increased fault level options with full certification.

"We are always happy to go the extra mile to increase customer confidence," said Managing Director Tim King. ATE constantly monitors feedback and strives to develop products and systems that match our clients' needs".
