Orbik Electronics will be showing its latest LED technology at this year's Light & Building Exhibition in Frankfurt. Being one of the Europe's largest independent manufacturers of emergency lighting equipment, Orbik has been at the forefront of the development of LED emergency lighting equipment which is designed to exploit the significant advantages that this new generation of high power white light emitting diodes offers the market place.
Orbik's stand will feature three of its latest LED products including the new Geneva, Petina and the futuristic Elled. Along with the advantages of a powerful bright white light source, each of these new products offers users the additional advantages of very long lamp life, low energy usage and cost efficiencies.
The new shape Geneva emergency luminaire is ideally suited to applications where space is at a premium or where discrete emergency lighting and signage is required. Featuring a recessed letter box styling it utilizes white LEDs or alternatively can also be supplied for use with a fluorescent lamp. These fittings are offered with a choice of white, chrome or brass bezels to make them suitable for different interior finishes. They can also feature an optional drop-down legend to maximise its versatility.
The new Petina profile has provided the market with one of the slimmest LED powered emergency exit signs. Its unobtrusive design, which is only 30mm deep, features sharp, squared off edges, which have been designed to complement the design criteria currently preferred by architects and specifiers. The use of LED's within this compact fitting provides a long life of approximately 50,000 hours reducing maintenance requirements, whilst also helping to maximise viewing distances. Orbik has extended the Petina range with the addition of a double sided, slimline version of this exit sign.
The Petina is available in a range of high quality colour finishes including white, brass, chrome, silver grey and black. The legend panel is specifically designed to ensure that it provides a uniform level of illuminance.
This is one of the very latest product innovations to be added to Orbik's product portfolio. The use of LED illumination enables specifiers to create energy efficient and cost effective emergency lighting solutions. Due to the use of a futuristic lens design, this unobtrusive non-maintained emergency luminaire achieves excellent spacing distances for emergency routes, thereby helping to reduce the number of luminaires required to meet specified lighting levels. In doing so the Elled helps to reduce the overall cost of an installation.
