NG Bailey, through its subsidiary Bailey Teswaine, has strengthened its ICT and building services capability, following the acquisition of s2s Limited, an internet protocol (IP) security focussed managed services provider, with a turnover of £7m.

The acquisition programme, which has seen NG Bailey integrate a range of complementary businesses into its portfolio since 2004, forms part of a long term strategy to develop the company beyond traditional M&E skills.

Operating within ICT specialist Bailey Teswaine, s2s enhances the existing expertise in security, unified communications, access control, mobility, identity management and IP networking. The s2s acquisition enables Bailey Teswaine to provide its customers with end-to-end managed services of all networked infrastructure, including automated performance monitoring and remote as well as on site management.

Mark Andrews, chief executive for NG Bailey, said: “Since 2004, when we acquired the Teswaine business, we have invested in a series of acquisitions, including Integrated Control Systems (ICS) just six months ago.

“This enables us to move beyond the ‘construction’ phase of buildings and into ongoing management and maintenance, which is central to our vision of considering the total lifecycle of a building from construction to reconstruction.”

The acquisition will also benefit in its For Life in Buildings initiative. The For Life in Buildings programme is geared towards delivering sustainable, intelligent building services and technologies, including automated climate control and energy monitoring. The combination of NG Bailey’s For Life in Buildings programme with Bailey Teswaine’s managed services capabilities will provide customers with the foundations for a managed, intelligent building infrastructure.s2s will continue to operate from its current base in West Sussex operating as a subsidiary of Bailey Teswaine.
