A minimalist approach to design results in WRTL’s new Disq lantern from its Aspect Urban Collection; combining the beauty of the circular form with powerful G6 and D6 glare control performance in amenity applications.
The Disq’s ultra-flat coin shape (500mm diameter by 40mm deep bowl) uses exceptionally clever optics to take maximum advantage of the latest circular low energy compact lamps. With its class-leading glare control and thin section, it virtually disappears into the architectural street scene, day or night.
Yet Disq meets G6 light intensity requirements (EN 13201) without light pollution, disability glare or obtrusive light from its 22W to 60W TL5C or 24W or 36W CFL light sources. Optics tailored specifically to the characteristics of each lamp provide the exact light distribution angle specified.

Designed to emit no light above 90˚ and only carefully limited intensities at 80˚ and 70˚, Disq is ideal for pedestrian precincts and strolling squares; shopping areas and outdoor leisure parks. As well as post top mounting, a wall mounting bracket can be supplied to suit the location.
Disq also combines aesthetics with function to maintain its style in a tough world. The environment resistant IP66 rated body is manufactured in robust, corrosion proof aluminium and can be fully dismantled for recycling. Other features include toolless maintenance access and high impact resistance polycarbonate bowls to withstand the wear and tear of street life.
