B2B Compliance, the UK’s largest WEEE producer compliance scheme, has announced it has over 300 members registered with it under the WEEE Regulations. The regulations require producers to register with compliance schemes by 15 March and for schemes to submit their members’ data by 31 March.

Geoff Young, director of B2B Compliance and chief executive of one of the eleven supporting trade associations, expressed his delight at this level of take-up by producers: “Producers have demonstrated their support for our long standing not-for-profit approach focused upon protecting producers’ interests and the fact that the scheme is not simply setting out to collect as much WEEE as possible.”

B2B Compliance membership covers the whole range of company turnovers – from those with turnovers of less than £100,000 to companies with over £250m turnover. The B2B Compliance website (www.b2bcompliance.org.uk) provides a full membership listing and details of how to join the scheme.

B2B Compliance is an initiative of the Gambica trade association and is supported by the following additional trade associations:
The Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI)
The British In Vitro Diagnostics Association (BIVDA)
International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers (IABM)
The Professional Lighting and Sound Association (PLASA)
Association of Franchised Distributors of Electronic Components (AFDEC)
British Association of Anaesthetic & Respiratory Equipment Manufacturers Association (BAREMA)
