RIDI lighting is pleased to announce the UK launch of the its totally revised range of EBD downlighters. Now fully compliant with the latest UK and European regulations – the range has been completely redesigned and upgraded to provide an affordable, versatile and attractive downlighter solution for any type of commercial office lighting application. In addition, the new flexible range permutations allow greater stocking flexibility across Europe.
Produced at their second manufacturing facility in Berlin, the EBD range benefits from RIDI’s renowned build quality and aesthetics. Now available with new ultra-shallow profile options and improved trim designs, the range offers the specifier excellent looks and performance.
Designed as a two-part luminaire, the EBD range features two separate universal gear-housing sizes that can be used across the entire range. The gear housing can be inserted through the corresponding ceiling aperture to ensure that installation time is kept to a minimum and maintenance time is optimised.
The reflector head housing has a robust tool-free die-cast mounting ring and all-new clamping mechanism for effective fixing on all ceiling types. The aluminium reflector itself is available in a specular polished finish as well as a soft matt, a specular facetted pattern and a new white enamelled type. In designing this all-new range, RIDI have decided to avoid the use of plastics within the entire head reflector assembly.
The new ranges feature 5 diameters sizes from 150mm to 340mm with compact fluorescent lamp options ranging from 11w up to 57w. Various depths are available across the range with an all-new, ultra-shallow, 60mm depth derivative. To compliment this range, an extensive variety of new decorative and IP rated glass trims are available.
