OCS Technical Services has acquired Independent Building Solutions, an integrated engineering and building management services company.
IBS provides environmental control and management as well as electrical and mechanical engineering installations and was purchased by OCS, from administrative receivers PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
The company, with an annual turnover of approximately £7.5m and 75 employees, will now operate as part of OCS Technical Services.
IBS specialises in intelligent works associated with trading floors and
high-spec environments such as call centres and telephone exchanges, hospitals and laboratories and broadcasting centres. These complex environments include campus developments, multi-use properties, national, international and global estate integration, commercial and financial community developments and mixed business and residential developments.
The managing director of OCS Technical Division, Richard Burl, said: “We are delighted to welcome the IBS team onboard. They will immeasurably strengthen OCS' engineering professionalism and proficiency.”
