Ron Ellis appointed Head of Business Development at BGEN

BGEN, a UK-based engineering firm, has announced the appointment of Ron Ellis as its new Head of Business Development.

In the new role, Ellis will develop and implement the firm’s sales strategy across all business units, including Engineering Solutions, Technology, Nuclear, and International. His remit also includes extending BGEN’s engineering solutions to existing clients and securing new business opportunities in various sectors, such as power and energy, pharmaceuticals, utilities, industrial, and food and beverage.

Ellis will report to CEO Robin Whitehead. His responsibilities include expanding BGEN’s mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MEICA) offerings among its current clients and pursuing new business in the energy transition space.

Ellis brings over three decades of experience within the oil, gas, power, and renewable sectors, working with clients such as National Grid, Scottish Power, SSE, Balfour Beatty, ExxonMobil, Northern Power Grid, and UK Power Networks. He is a chartered fellow of the Institute of Management.
