Megger announces grid performance seminar

Megger October 18 - Grid Performance Seminar

Megger has announced a one-day Grid Performance seminar that is set to take place on October 18, 2023.

During this one-day seminar, engineers involved in the operation of power networks will get the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in grid monitoring and diagnostics and discover how these developments can help them to deliver enhanced network performance and reliability.

“This is an exciting but challenging time for all who are involved with power networks,” said Sandy Woodley, Sales Manager of Megger, “and, with developments moving so quickly, it’s very hard to stay up to date. Our seminar will help by showcasing new technologies, such as online partial discharge monitoring and smart grid sensors, emphasising the practical advantages they offer. The seminar will be presented by engineers who are experts in their fields, and we’re confident that it will be of benefit to all who attend.”

Topics covered by the seminar will include online monitoring for improved grid visibility, identifying weak spots in MV and HV grids, why the relevance of GIS online PD monitoring is increasing, and the benefits of online PD monitoring and spot testing of transformers. There will also be a smart grid sensor demonstration and hands-on workshops for PD monitoring and smart sensors.

The seminar will take place on October 18, 2023, at IET Austin Court in Birmingham and will include technical presentations, case studies and practical workshops.

Interest in the Megger Grid Performance seminar is expected to be high, and places are strictly limited. Therefore, those wishing to attend are encouraged to apply as soon as possible by visiting https://uk.megger.com/events/megger-online-grid-performance-seminar.
