Inspection, verification, testing and certification company SGS has gained accreditation for the testing of electric vehicle (EV) chargers at its SGS Tecnos laboratory in Madrid, Spain.

The UNE-EN-ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, awarded by the Spanish National Accreditation Body (ENAC) in accordance with the international standard IEC 61851-1, enables SGS Tecnos to issue test reports endorsed with the ENAC logo.

Manufacturers of EV chargers looking to demonstrate regulatory compliance of their products will benefit from the additional guarantee of safety, technical competence and reliability this provides.

María J. González, project engineer, SGS said, “Congratulations to the entire SGS Tecnos team who worked so hard to secure this recognition from ENAC. At a time when the market for electric vehicles is rapidly developing, we welcome the opportunity this accreditation brings to expand our business across national and international markets.”
