Sontay appoints new sales manager to oversee southern UK
Sontay has announced the appointment of Phil Berry as its new southern area sales manager. Berry joins Sontay from British architectural and LED lighting manufacturer, Orlight, where he was sales manager.
Berry has held senior roles in the electrical industry for more than 14 years, working with firms such as Electric City, Electricbase and Electric Center. He brings experience of not just the electrical market, but also of plumbing, heating and lighting distribution.
At Sontay, Berry will be looking to grow the business through developing relationships with OEMs, M&E contractors, system integrators, consultants and other specialists within the building controls market. His remit will be the south of the UK.
“It’s an exciting time to join Sontay,” noted Berry in a statement.
“There are a number of products Sontay has in the pipeline which I believe will make a large impact on the building controls industry and the way sensors are used and installed. I am keen to develop and grow the business for Sontay as it is a company that offers expert staff but with the personal touch, all backed up by great after sales service.”
Mark Newton, sales director at Sontay, commented, “We are delighted to have Phil on board. His experience and knowledge will bring new vigour to the sales force. We always strive to offer our customers the very best products and service. By employing customer focused staff, like Phil, with excellent technical knowledge, our customers can be assured that they are always well informed, supported and fully up to date with the latest product information.”
