Willy Wonka eat your heart out. Thanks to JTL, electrical apprentices are now able to benefit from the company’s ‘Golden Ticket’ initiative.
JTL electrical apprentices are being given the chance to win £1,000 worth of Klein tools for themselves, their employer and their tutor in JTL’s new ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ inspired Golden Ticket initiative.
JTL, with the help of its partner Super Rod (UK distributor of Klein Tools), already issue free toolkits on a quarterly basis to new learners once they have completed three months of their apprenticeship.
The toolkits which have a retail value of around £250, are offered to help apprentices with their on-the-job training and to support their employers.
A Golden Ticket will be randomly inserted inside a Klein toolkit ordered by a learner in each quarterly distribution. Upon finding the ticket, each lucky learner will receive an instant prize of £100 of Klein Tools and the chance to win a further £500 worth of Klein Tools for themselves, £250 worth of tools for their employer and £250 worth of tools for their tutor in the grand prize draw taking place in the summer.
Malcolm Duncan, managing director of Super Rod said, “We’re really excited to be involved in this initiative. We are 100% behind the concept of apprentices receiving quality tools from the start of their involvement in the electrical industry and are proud to work alongside JTL in this venture.”
JTL’s chief executive Jon Graham said, “We are the only training provider in the UK to provide a free toolkit to all our trade apprentices to support them in their training. We believe it instils in them a sense of pride to have a quality tool kit of their own rather than having to use ‘hand me downs’ from their employers or colleagues.
“They can add to these throughout their apprenticeship and beyond. The lucky winner will be able to add significantly to his or her toolkit with this exceptional prize.”
Two out of four toolkit distributions have taken place so far. The first golden ticket was won by Spencer Lewery who works for electrical contractors JMS Connections Ltd based in Brighton. Our second and latest winner of a golden ticket is Adam Mackeprang from Boveton in Wales.
Adam was delighted to have found a Golden Ticket in his toolkit, “This is really good news for me and for my employer Hitchings Electrical. It was a real surprise to open the toolkit and find the Golden Ticket!
“The initial prize is great and the odds are pretty good – at one in four – that I might win the overall prize in June 2019! It certainly gives me something to look forward to in the summer!”
