Thamesgate Group secures pole position for Huawei UPS in the UK
Thamesgate has received four-star certified service partner status for Huawei’s range of high efficiency uninterruptible power supplies. The award follows successful completion of UPS service engineer training at the Huawei Shenzhen facility in China and audit of Thamesgate’s UK facilities.
Thamesgate is the first UK certified service partner (CSP) for Huawei and its range of uninterruptible power supplies. To achieve certification requires extensive investment in training, procedures, facilities and field installations. The CSP rating system runs from three to five stars and provides a progressive range of support services and discounts as well as approving the company to provide installation and service work on Huawei UPS systems.
The services to be provided by Thamesgate (www.thamesgate.com) include site surveys, commissioning, installation, maintenance and emergency response. In addition Thamesgate will also provide battery installation assistance, electrical contracting works and removal and disposal of legacy systems and batteries. Thamesgate will also market the Huawei range of UPS through its EcoPowerSupplies division (www.ecopowersupplies.com/huawei-ups). The UPS ranges run from 6kVA to 1MVA and include the UPS2000G (1-20kVA), UPS5000A (30-800kVA) and modular UPS UPS5000E series from 40kVA-1MVA.
“We are thrilled at this award from Huawei UPS”, commented Nick Watkins, Thamesgate Group managing director. “It was a major commitment to send three of our engineers to China for the UPS service course but one we were happy to make. The innovations in modular UPS systems from Huawei are impressive and we firmly believe that they will become the benchmark in the UK datacentre market.”
“The certification is an acknowledgement of the rewarding cooperation with Thamesgate and their commitment to delivering the benefits of the stable, efficient and sustainable Huawei enterprise energy solutions to our customers. We are pleased and proud to announce Thamesgate as our first UPS Certified Service Partner in the UK. “ said Jason Zhao, managing director of Huawei UK Enterprise Business.
