RS Components (RS) and Allied Electronics (Allied), the trading brands of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), a distributor of electronics and maintenance products, have formalised their global agreement with Honeywell Sensing and Control (Honeywell S&C) for the first time.

RS has signed a new agreement covering the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific regions, adding to Allied’s contract for North America. The worldwide agreement gives RS and Allied customers greater access to Honeywell’s portfolio of electromechanical and electronic sensing products.

RS has worked successfully with Honeywell S&C for more than 20 years. Honeywell S&C chose to formalise the agreement because of RS and Allied’s ability to reach customers globally and bring new products to market quickly, in addition to their high service level and advanced eCommerce capabilities.

Phil Dock, global head of product and supplier management, Electrocomponents, said: “This agreement secures our joint commitment with Honeywell to develop our partnership and increase our global sales. It reaffirms our global distribution capability, our capacity to cover all product categories, and our eCommerce capabilities. More significantly, it will help us to better meet the needs of engineers in the electronics and automation and control markets.”

Lionel Caillat, vice president and general manager EMEA, Honeywell S&C, commented: “RS is known for supporting the maintenance and electronics markets and the introduction of new products. The high service model gives our customers access to our product portfolio and seeds the market with Honeywell’s innovative new products. We are delighted to secure this global agreement which builds upon our long term UK and European territory partnerships and our pre-existing North American agreement.”
