New QCF qualification

Electrical Review Logo

Logic Certification has launched the next in its range of QCF qualifications; a Level 3 Award in the Fundamental Principles and Requirements of Environmental Technology Systems.

Designed for anyone who needs to demonstrate a level of knowledge across the main renewable and low carbon systems, the award is suited to installers planning to go on to undertake full technical qualifications in related disciplines, or managers, the sales team and decision makers tasked with overseeing or advising on building services.

Technologies covered, include:

·         Solar thermal hot water

·         Heat pumps

·         Solar photovoltaics

·         Micro CHP

·         Wind turbines

·         Micro hydro turbines

·         Grey water re-use

·         Rainwater harvesting

On successful completion, candidates should have a good understanding of the fundamental working principles of micro-renewable energy and water conservation technologies, know how to assess a building’s suitability for installing this equipment, plus have an overview of regulations and typical advantages and disadvantages of these systems.

QCF is a new way of recognising skills and qualifications, enabling candidates to learn at their own pace along flexible routes.

The qualification will soon be available from a selection of the Logic Certification Approved Centres, of which there are over 200, located nationwide. For more information, visit www.logiccertification.co.uk
