Power Continuity Systems won the contract for the major power protection systems upgrade to the head office for national operations of the famous UK institution Britannia Building Society.
PowerContinuity Systems worked with the national building society to install a new N+2 resilient uninterruptible power supply system combined with diesel generators, as part of a major overhaul of the head office in Leek, Staffordshire.
The system was installed whilst their existing operational systems continued uninterrupted, as stipulated and through the use of PowerContinuity System’s own mobile UPS containerised power units. This allowed Britannia Building Society to work without any disruption during the replacement and upgrade of the entire power protection system, which required the removal of existing aged uninterruptible power supplies and replacement with a bespoke 1.25 Megawatt UPS, including a complete new power distribution system.
