Renewable expertise meets M&E experience

Two sister companies with expertise in complementary areas of the electrical industry have merged to create one single organisation.

Enevis combines the renewable energy expertise of Carbon Energy Solutions with G5 Services' 10 years' experience in mechanical and electrical engineering. The new company is providing advice, design and installation of renewable technology alongside building maintenance and repair, as well as an emergency call-out service.

The 150 plus employees from both companies, including electricians, PV installers and electrical engineers, have all been retained and will operate out of the Enevis headquarters in Dartford, Kent.

Gary Mayatt, Enevis managing director, said: "This merger combines the best of the traditional industry expertise alongside an experienced team in the field of renewable energy. Our aim is for Enevis to be recognised as the UK's leading independent provider of renewable energy solutions and specialist mechanical and electrical engineering contractors.

"Electrical professionals are best placed to perform the dual role of providing advice on renewable technology and carrying out the installation work in a safe, effective and economical way, so we are at the forefront of the renewable energy drive.

"However, there will always be buildings in both commercial and domestic sectors that require electrical professionals to carry out installation and maintenance work to make sure they operate in the safest and most economical way possible. The skills we have at our disposal at Enevis mean we are able to explore opportunities in both the traditional and up-and-coming industry markets. We are the only company that brings together the traditional areas of building maintenance and combines this with expertise in the renewables field."

All Enevis electricians are MCS accredited and NICEIC approved. The company subscribes to the REAL assurance scheme and adheres to the standards of its Consumer Code.
