Control system powers ahead
Rockwell Automation has just received an order from RWE npower for a control system upgrade project at Littlebrook Power Station in Dartford, Kent.
The order encompasses system design, build installation and commissioning of a new ControlLogix architecture with dual redundancy. It is split into three phases - the final two being contract options that can be invoked at the end of 2006 and 2007 respectively.
Dean Phipps, Rockwell Automation's account manager, explains: “This is a major win for Rockwell Automation in a strategically important market and enhances our reputation within the UK power industry.”
