EDF signs £9m outsourcing contract for IT
Utility company EDF Energy, owner of London Electricity and Seeboard, has signed a £9m outsourcing contract to manage and develop its customer-related IT systems over the next three years.
The French-owned electricity and gas provider surrendered its customer management systems to a consortium of companies including Capgemini. It will use the global resources, IT system development, project management and support services of the consortium to create a modern customer-handling system and reduce costs.
