Newey & Eyre, the UK's leading electrical distributor, has launched a new value added, custom built service to further benefit its customer base. Providing a catalogue-based procurement solution for the off-line user, an electronic catalogue is now available on CD-ROM, bringing the full range of Newey & Eyre 36,000 products and services to customer's fingertips.

The catalogue has been designed chiefly for use as a stand-alone facility for those without Internet access. However, to ensure that users have the most current product information available to them, the service has the ability to synchronise via the Internet, allowing for regular product information update.

The system offers numerous advantages for users including key word and category searches, simple catalogue navigation and the majority of product entries are accompanied by both descriptive text and a colour image.

Customers are able to create their own personalised catalogues, tailored for their specific needs and can also access a comprehensive estimating software package which is included free of charge as a 90 day trial on the CD-ROM. The software includes quotation request and ordering facilities.

Jeremy Harris, marketing manager at Newey & Eyre says, “The launch of this new CD-ROM catalogue is another valuable addition to the services Newey & Eyre has on offer and we are confident that it will be a great success. We appreciate that many of Newey & Eyre's customers prefer to work off-line and believe that with the introduction of this straightforward yet comprehensive system, we are able to accommodate all of their needs.”

The new CD-ROM is available free of charge and can be obtained through the national Newey & Eyre branch network. For details of your nearest branch, or to order a pack over the phone, contact Newey & Eyre on freephone 0800 783 6909 or visit www.neweyandeyre.co.uk
