Luminaire range suits Forth Valley Royal Hospital

Electrical Review Logo

Holophane has supplied a wide selection of luminaires and columns for exterior lighting at the new Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, which was recently opened by HM The Queen.

Holophane QSM lanterns were specially modified for lighting the roads around the hospital, providing optimum visibility with the maximum spacing of columns. Each is equipped with a 70W metal halide lamp.

Around the perimeter of the building, Holophane Muralux floodlighting luminaires with 150W metal halide lamps have been installed. These incorporate a forward-throw reflector to provide good lighting distribution away from the building, thus minimising the number of luminaires needed to deliver the required light distribution – as well as the installed electrical load.

Holophane’s Vista Grande luminaires have been used extensively in car parks, the bus terminus and the entrance to the Accident & Emergency department.
