ESP launches new GuardCam Wi-Fi Security Floodlight

Electrical Review Logo

The latest addition to ESP’s GuardCam range of external area protection systems is a new Wi-Fi version – the GuardCam Combined Wi-Fi Security Camera and LED Floodlight – which allows remote viewing, monitoring and notifications via the specially-developed ESP GuardCamDECO APP.

The new system is a complete all-in-one, PIR floodlight, camera and DVR system, which offers an ideal low-energy external area protection solution for domestic and commercial applications.

It incorporates a high-definition 1080p digital camera for superior quality images.  The 16 SMD LED security lamp offers 5000k colour light with 1500 lumens – to produce a high quality, cool white light output.    Flexibility to adjust the LED lamp and PIR is also featured.  The PIR sensor provides 180⁰ x 10m coverage.

The system is straightforward to install.  You simply connect to the mains power and then connect to the available Wi-Fi network.  Once fixed to the wall, install the Micro SD card and adjust the system settings via the APP.  When switched on GuardCam will detect an intruder, floodlight the area, and initiate a high resolution video recording directly to the internal Micro SD card.

GuardCam has the option to deliver motion activation notifications via the APP whilst recording the activation.  The user friendly APP also allows recordings to be accessed directly from the microSD card, meaning there are no additional subscriptions charges or additional fees to access recorded data once installed.

The system comes supplied with an 8GB Micro SD card for recording video clips and this is expandable up to 32GB.  Up to 400 video clips can be stored onto the supplied card, which will be overwritten automatically when the capacity has been reached.

It features IP55 rated housing to provide a robust product for external applications.
