JTL, a national training provider for electrical, plumbing and heating apprenticeships, has officially launched its partnership with Bury College, with the Mayor of Bury himself, councillor Trevor Holt, attending the opening ceremony to celebrate the partnership.
The event began with a ribbon cutting ceremony, before local employers were given a guided tour of the college’s workshops. They also had the opportunity to speak to the current JTL electrical apprentices and trainers to discover how this new partnership may benefit the local community.
JTL’s chief executive, Jon Graham, said, “We are delighted to have formed this new relationship with Bury College. By bringing the strengths of both organisations together, I am confident that we can provide a great learning environment for our apprentices and continue to improve local skills for the building services sector.
“It was fantastic to have welcomed The Mayor of Bury and local employers to Bury College and showcase the fantastic facilities available here. We’re pleased to now be able to accommodate even more learners, and we look forward to seeing the number of both apprentices and employers increase in the future”.
The partnership between JTL and Bury College was announced earlier this year, and will initially focus on the delivery of electrical apprenticeships. Individuals will be taught skills in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical services both inside and outside buildings and structures, securing qualifications that should help them pursue a career in the electrical sector.

Through this partnership, we can now offer exceptional opportunities for apprentices, whilst also meeting the skills needs of employers locally and regionally.”
