OMICRON's CIBANO 500 is the first 3-in-1 test system to combine a precise micro-ohmmeter, a multi-channel timing analyzer, and a powerful coil and motor supply in a single, lightweight device (20 kg / 44.1 lbs). Software-supported testing

CIBANO 500 is controlled via OMICRON's proven Primary Test Manager (PTM) software. The PTM actively guides the user through the entire testing process. Once testing is complete, the user is promptly provided with a clearly structured test report, which combines all results in a single document, displayed as either a diagram or a table.

To answer this, a survey has been conducted across over 4000 decision makers involved in the design, construction and operation of critical data centres across North America and EMEA to identify their views on these key priorities.

A decade after the implementation of Part M of the Building Regulations David Williams, category marketing manager at Schneider Electric explores some of the cable management solutions for the built environment

In 1999 the building industry saw the requirements of Part M of the Building Regulations for the first time ensuring that ‘reasonable provision shall be made for disabled people to gain access to and to use buildings’ and for the construction of homes and businesses to meet with the obligation. At the time the view from many was that if it was legislated that people would comply ensuring everyone has access to and the use of a building and its facilities (Disability Discrimination Act 2005).

For installers Part M outlined some key criteria around the use of switches, outlets and controls within the four key areas; ease of operation, visibility, height and freedom of obstruction. The onus falls onto the electrical contractor to firstly specify the correct electrical accessories and to then install them in the appropriate locations. In total Part M laid down 13 provisions focussed mainly around ease of access and use within premises.

New intelligent PDU provider Enlogic has recently celebrated great success at the Data Centre Solutions awards after coming runner-up for the award for ‘Datacentre Power and Cooling Product of the Year’.

New to the data centre market, Enlogic was up against stiff competition from Schneider Electric, Server Technology and Emerson with its intelligent PDU, before coming second only to Excool, which won the award judged by industry peers through a public independent vote.
