JTL announces programme of professional development courses

Whilst perhaps best known in England and Wales for its work in driving forward apprenticeship training, JTL is now delivering professional development programmes for those already working in the electrical sector.

 

It has just announced a range of courses targeted at the experienced in the electrical sector designed to upgrade their skills still further and to open the doors of new business opportunities.

Amongst the courses recently unveiled is the first professional development course to be held at the new National Centre of Excellence – JTL’s new £1.5m training centre in Aston, Birmingham, which will officially open on 31 October. It’s a three day 17th Edition City & Guilds 2382-12 course, one of eight being held around the country between 4 November 2013 and 31 March 2014. Others are being held in Merseyside, Taunton, Manchester, Bristol, Staffordshire and Wrexham. These courses are attractively priced for a three day course at just £350. It is the industry accepted qualification for all electrical installation electricians and those involved in the design and supervision of electrical work.

In addition, JTL has announced two initial verification and periodic inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations – EAL/City & Guilds 2394/2395 – 6 day courses, being held in Lancashire. These are designed for qualified electricians only, who have some experience of inspecting, testing and certifying electrical installations. Course content includes understanding BS7671 and completing these certificates, how to code electrical inspection items, and how to complete and submit condition report forms. The cost of the programme is £750 per person.

There are also two PASMA 1 day courses, for people working at height, covering the assembly, movement and dismantling of mobile access towers being held in Manchester.
